1:200 waterline model of KM. Scharnhorst:

John has recently started to build a 1:200 waterline model of KM. Scharnhorst and photographs of the build will start to appear before long.
His full-hulled model at 1:150 is displayed on H.M.S. Belfast.

This model, started in 1972, took 4 years to build and was first displayed in the London Guildhall in 1977, as part of the Lord Mayor’s Exhibition for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. This was later acquired by the Imperial War Museum and launched his professional modelling career.
